Frank led the creation of the Healthcare Division at Harvey Nash in 2006 and has seen it grow to the second largest Board level search agency within the UK healthcare sector. Thanks to his efforts, Harvey Nash is now one of a handful of search firms on the NHS’ preferred supplier list and its inclusion on the Cabinet Office Framework Agreement.
He began his career in health management in 1990 at the British Medical Association as its Head of Private Practice Department where he represented doctors to central government. He then became Head of Policy & Negotiations for the BMA’s General Practitioner’s Division where he led on contractual reform and negotiations with the Department of Health. He became involved in employment law as an Industrial Relations Specialist where he represented doctors in Employment Tribunal and disciplinary proceedings for a five year period before lastly acting as Head of Change Management in redesigning member services.
Frank decided to transfer his knowledge of medical management into the NHS directly, joining Homerton University Hospital Foundation Trust in 2000 as Executive Director of Human Resources and Communications and then joined Whipps Cross University Hospital NHS Trust as Executive Director of Human Resources & Organisational Development, a post he held up until 2006.
He joined Harvey Nash in 2006 as the founding Director of its Healthcare activity. He has led on a wide range of Chief Executive, Chairman, Director of senior clinical appointments, across the UK and also working internationally in Europe and the United States.
With a strong interest in current affairs, political theory and history, Frank is known for his expertise across the NHS, a forensic understanding of its issues and key people and his informal and consultative approach with clients and candidates. |
