Rob Lanham - Consultant
An honours graduate, Rob joined the Harvey Nash Industry Practice in 2004. Now a consultant Rob spent his early years in research working with clients that include Rotork plc, FKI plc, Rolls-Royce, VT Aerospace, Birse Group and Gamma Holdings. He has gained significant exposure to pan european search and has assisted in delivering assignments that include Managing Directors based in Germany and Scandinavia, Niche Sales and Marketing roles for specialist engineering companies and Customer Support and Supply Chain Directors. Rob is now working across all functions for a wide range of industrial clients. He has developed very firm views of the role of the consultant in business: “It is vital to fully understand the organisation and stakeholders with whom you are working and to build a trusting and consultative relationship based on sector knowledge and the candidate market. Too often recruitment ‘experts’ assume they know what is best for a business without investing the time and effort to fully understand and engage with the client, it is only then that they can provide true added value for a specific recruitment project.” |
